Name of the project: Tondo Sunrise

Brief description of the project:

Opening a social centre in Manila for poor families, for children that cannot afford going to school. In this centre the children will learn English, reading, writing. I will also teach Bible study for children. From this centre I could also coordinate other charitable activities, distributing the food for the supported families, etc.

Justifying the project:

Over 3000 people are making a living in Tondo from recycling junk, they are earning about 3, 5 us dollars per day. Thousands of children are born and are living among garbage, they don’t have id’s, the vast majority are living below the poverty line.

Objectives:

Creating a social centre which will support children that don’t have the chance to go regularly to school.

Offering material support, food, clothes, medicine to poor families in Tondo.

Offering spiritual support, Bible Studies lessons, to the people from Tondo who are living such a hard life.

 

Activities:

1) Buying food, clothes, medicine for the poor.

2) Bible Studies – counseling for adults and children.

3) English lessons, also other languages.

 

Budget:

1) Buying a house in Manila, about 50000 Euros

2) Renting a house in Manila, 600 usd per month.

3) Electric, water, Internet, cable TV bills 150 usd per month

4) Food, medicine, etc for the poor 600 USD per month

My own monthly budget:500 euros
